2 cars damaged by fire in George Town, Police investigating Loop News Created : 12 September 2017 Cayman News Police on Tuesday said that they are investigating a suspected arson, which involved two cars that were engulfed in flames at a residence on Palm Dale Avenue in George Town early Tuesday morning. The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) say that while no one was injured, a red 2006 Honda Stream and a green 2002 Daihatsu Terios were extensively damaged. Reports are that just before 3:30 am fire units responded to a report of two vehicles aflame at the residence. According to police, “during the incident a bottle of flammable liquid was also thrown through a window of the house.” “It did not ignite and no one was injured,” read a release from the RCIPS. “Based on circumstances at the scene the fire can be described as an act of arson. The incident is under investigation by both fire and police officers,” added the RCIPS.
