2 new cases of COVID-19 in the Cayman Islands

Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, has reported two new positives among the 552 COVID-19 tests that have been carried out since Friday. This brings the total number of positives in the Cayman Islands to 203.

The two positive cases were identified through the screening programme.

One is a returning traveller currently in isolation and the other is presumed to have acquired the condition locally. Both individuals are asymptomatic.

Of the 203 people who tested positive for the virus, 200 have recovered.

Some 26,729 tests have been carried out, with a positive test rate of 0.76 per cent.
