The Bob Marley Museum is abuzz with excitement on Wednesday as hundreds are packed inside the venue for the annual birthday celebration of the reggae legend.

Doors of the facility that Bob Marley called home before his death in 1981 are open to his adoring fans who are being treated with live reggae music and different cultural aspects of Rastafarian life including the blowing of the Abeng and nyabinghi drumming.

Marley, known as The Gong, would have celebrated his 74th birthday on Wednesday and his international reach is evident in the audience, a mixture of people from all over the globe.

Marley's memorabilia are on display for those who want to take away a piece of the famed reggae legend - these included t-shirts, caps, paintings, music, ital stew and natural juices.

The event will culminate in the night with a jam session that will feature a number of reggae artistes including Koffee, Agent Sasco, Vershon, Iba Mahr and Richie Spice.
