BT man arrested and 6 roosters seized following police operation

Police and animal welfare and control officers from the Department of Agriculture conducted an operation at an address on Brushwood Way in Bodden Town on Friday following  concerns from the community members about disturbances and illegal activities being carried out there.

During the operation, six roosters that appeared to be used for cock fighting were seized by officers from the Department of Agriculture, as well as implements used for cockfighting.

A 44-year-old-man of Bodden Town was arrested on suspicion of Animal Cruelty and subsequently bailed pending further investigations into the matter.

The investigation is being carried out by the RCIPS with the assistance of the DOA.
