BT man charged 7 months after crash that killed Jamaican doctor
Seven months after a fatal crashed that killed a visiting Jamaican doctor, who at the time had just arrived in the island, a 70-year-old Bodden Town man has been charged in connection with the incident.
The Bodden Town man was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless driving in relation to the incident.
62-year-old Vary Jones Leslie was killed after she succumbed to injuries sustained after she was hit by a taxi driver near the Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) shortly after arriving in the Cayman Islands on July 18, 2017.
Jones-Leslie, who was an obstetrician/gynaecologist, had arrived in the island to take up a temporary job at the Health Service Authority (HSA).
The Bodden Town man is to appear in court on February 5.
