One person was admitted to the Health Services Authority yesterday who had tested positive for COVID-19. This makes two patients currently in hospital with COVID-19, according to Cayman's Chief Medical Officer, Dr Lee.
With regards to tests, the lab is running confirmatory tests this morning that will be reported tomorrow.
17 tests have been run in the sister islands. So far, 10 are negative. 1 is positive. All of the contacts of the positive case in Cayman Brac have been isolated.
43 students being housed in the government facility were all found negative. They have all been released and gone back home.
Medical personnel have not had any issues with the swabs required to conduct tests. 200 swabs are coming in on the British Airways flight that is coming in with supplies.
The HSA has spare capacity in the event that it is required further.
