Cayman: 3 more COVID-19 Cases; 140 in total
There are 3 more positive COVID-19 results in the Cayman Islands today, out of a total 359 tests that were run, with the total positive coming to 140 (3 from Cayman Brac). One was the contact of a known case and the other 2 were community-acquired and a part of the screening program. Contact tracing has begun.
There have been 10,174 tests run to date. A manual extraction process has begun which has slowed down the process of testing slightly.
70 of the tests originated from Doctor’s hospital and the remaining 289 originated from the Health Services Authority
30 per cent of the first group of construction workers has been completed.
The status of positive cases is as follows:
1 have some symptoms.
71 are asymptomatic.
0 individuals are in the hospital but are no longer being treated for COVID-19 but for other conditions.
67 have recovered fully.
There are currently 108 people in government isolation and 242 in home isolation.
Cayman is 6th in the world for COVID tests per capita.
