Cayman: 533 negative COVID cases today!!!

The Cayman Islands has a number of reasons to celebrate today.

Not only have the 533 COVID-19 tests carried out in the last 24 hours yielded no positive results, but there are also only 22-currently active cases, which means that 94 per cent of the 196 people that have tested positive to date have fully recovered.

There are currently no symptomatic cases on-island.

Cayman has tested 22,266 people to-date- more than a third of its population and is experiencing a rapidly diminishing positive testing rate, which currently stands at 0.88 per cent.

Since Monday, 1,896 COVID-19 tests have been returned, with only one positive result, which was received on Wednesday.

Since its first case of coronavirus, Cayman has only had one death, a foreign patient who was removed from a cruise ship due to a cardiac episode.

Cayman is being recognized by much of the world as a coronavirus "success story".
