Cayman: backup of imported vehicles at the port

There is a backup of imported vehicles awaiting pick up at the port.

The Port Authority (PACI) is advising persons with vehicles that have been imported but are uncleared and at PACI’s facilities, to do so as soon as possible.

The more vehicles that remain uncollected, the fewer the Port Authority can allow into the country each week.

There is a significant number of vehicles in Jamaica awaiting shipment to Grand Cayman.  Those persons who have vehicles in Jamaica, awaiting shipment to Grand Cayman, are advised to contact their agent/ broker, which in most cases is Miracle Brokers, to advise of whether they are in a position to clear the vehicle immediately upon arrival to Cayman.

This will allow for those vehicles to be prioritized for shipping and will allow the port to facilitate a regular flow of vehicles to those persons who are anxiously awaiting to receive them.
