Cayman: Here's all we know about the Global Citizen Concierge Program
The Global Citizen Concierge Programme (GCCP) is a Ministry of District Administration, Tourism and Transport initiative (in conjunction with other government departments) strategically designed for the Cayman Islands to welcome high net worth individuals who are global professionals with the flexibility to work remotely due to current world events.
The GCCP is aimed at eligible professionals and families that can fully support themselves while on island, are willing to quarantine as prescribed by current regulations, and intend to enjoy a longer stay in the Cayman Islands.
Under the GCCP, individuals will not be entitled to earn citizenship but rather experience Caymankind while earning an income elsewhere or supporting themselves with money earned in another country.
An application process is required and there are minimum income requirements in order to be approved. It is expected, pending approval, that the income requirements will be as follows: US$100,000 for individuals, $150,000 for couples and $180,000 for families. Applicants can be accompanied by dependents and all accompanying family members must have health insurance that can be used in the Cayman Islands.
Those who are approved for the programme will be required to quarantine for 14-days, in accordance with the coronavirus regulations.
Those approved for the programme must either rent or buy a property before arriving to begin the programme.
The programme is in the final stages of government approval and further information will be provided at that time.
