Cayman’s captive industry eyes the digital space, sponsors ASHRM app
The Cayman Islands’ captive insurance industry has thrown its support behind the 2017 American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) conference.
Cayman is the sole sponsor of ASHRM’s new conference app – an app which proved popular in 2016, with 75% of conference delegates having been active users on the platform.
The move represents the captive insurance industry entering into the digital space and embracing what has been dubbed by major financial players as the “fourth industrial revolution”.
“To innovate, we first need to communicate,” said Linda Haddleton, chairperson of IMAC, the Cayman captive industry’s representative association.
“We are delighted to continue our decades-long support for ASHRM in this modern, digital manner. IMAC congratulates ASHRM on another well-planned conference, which promises to bridge innovation – a theme with which our captive insurance industry’s strategy is perfectly aligned,” she added.
The conference app, in addition to providing information about the industry, will also be used to encourage delegates to learn more about the Cayman Islands and connect with Cayman delegates; as well as, register for a grand prize giveaway of two passes to the Cayman Captive Forum, which will be held in November 2017.
In addition, conference delegates will be provided with updates and notifications about the vibrant Cayman healthcare captive sector.
“We have accomplished so much in our 40-year history in the captive insurance industry, by listening carefully to the needs of healthcare providers and then actioning what we have heard,” explained Haddleton.
“We are going to use this app to take this interaction to a new level, people will be seeing a great deal more from Cayman on digital platforms”, promised Haddleton.
The 25th Cayman Captive Forum in the kicks off November 28 – 30 at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Grand Cayman.
