3,026 negative COVID-tests so far for the month of August

As of August 17, the Cayman Islands has conducted 3,026 COVID-19 tests, all of which have been negative. These numbers continue to place our little islands in one of the most impressive global positions with regards to the pandemic and its management. 

The following are logs of all COVID-19 test results for the month of August. These will be updated when new results are received.

COVID-19 Testing Update August 17 2020

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 680 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported on Friday, 14 August. All were negative.

The total number of people in isolation, either at a government facility or in their homes as required by the Medical Officer of Health, is currently 182. 

COVID-19 Testing Update August 14 2020

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 256 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported on Thursday, 13 August. All were negative.

The total number of people in isolation, either at a government facility or in their homes as required by the Medical Officer of Health, is currently 199. 

The Cayman Islands‘ COVID-19 risk is now classified as very low according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

COVID-19 Testing Update August 13 2020

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 220 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported on Wednesday, August 12. All were negative.

The total number of people in isolation, either at a government facility or in their homes at the request of the Chief Medical Officer, is currently 228. 

COVID-19 Testing Update 12 August 2020

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 111 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported on Tuesday, 11 August. All were negative.

The total number of individuals in isolation, either at a government facility or in their homes at the request of the Public Health Department, is currently 158. 

As from 12 August, PAHO has changed the Cayman Islands recent transmission level from ‘Sporadic’ to ‘No cases‘ of COVID-19 disease.

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 128 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported on Monday, 10 August. All were negative.

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 454 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported on Friday, 7 August. All were negative.

COVID-19 Testing Update 7 August 2020

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 191 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported on Thursday, 6 August. All were negative.

The number of antibody tests that have been conducted at the Health Services Authority and Health City Cayman Islands now stands at 2,096.  Of these, there have been a total of 54 positives (2.6% positive), where 36 are people previously positive on a PCR test and six were contacts of previous PCR positive people; this leaves 12, four of whom have a travel history abroad during the recent months and eight who have no identified COVID-19 contact history.
