Deadline to respond for the tourism employee stipend is today
The deadline to respond for the displaced tourism employee stipend is today at noon. The displaced tourism employee stipend is part of the overall Cayman Islands Government assistance plan for those who were severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Thursday, July 2 the first group of over 1,700 verified applicants received the official email with a link to supply banking information for this stipend. The subject line for this email was ‘Request for Banking Information’.
A second email was sent on July 3, to the remaining group of verified applicants. The subject line will have read ‘MOT Stipend- Request for Banking Information’.
Those who did not receive either email should check their spam or junk folder, noting that this correspondence went to verified persons only.
The deadline for all responses is no later than TODAY (July 7) at noon (12.00 pm).
All persons who received the email are encouraged to respond swiftly to finalise the payment distribution process.
For those persons who were not approved, please answer and return missed calls from the Department of Tourism. Applicants that still require workplace confirmation were not approved and are pending until DOT is able to get in touch with these applicants. Please respond to missed calls, voicemails and also look out for emails issued on July 3 2020.
