Loop News has received information that a candidate had his request to drive with ballots from his division flatly rejected by the Elections Office of the Cayman Islands, moments ago.

Speaking to Loop News, Supervisor Wesley Howell said that it was the first time a request of this nature has been brought forward.

“In my knowledge, yes,” Howell said, adding that no other candidate had requested to drive with his/her ballots.

Howell was tight-lipped on who specifically made the request or which division he represents or contests, explaining that the voting process is still ongoing.
