Dog killed after attacking man in Bodden Town

A man was released from hospital on Thursday after he was attacked by two dogs on Crysdel Road in Bodden Town.

Reports from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service(RCIPS) are that the man was walking home  when the incident took place at around 4:00 PM on January 31.  

The man received bites to both his arms and legs.

During the incident, the man struck one of the dogs with a pocket knife.

The man was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital where he was treated and subsequently released.

The dog that was struck with the knife died.

 Information received later noted that the dogs had escaped from a nearby yard.

The matter is currently under investigation by the RCIPS and Animal Control Officers from the Department of Agriculture.
