Driver warned for intended prosecution after collision

A driver was warned for intended prosecution on suspicion of careless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol after a collision in Cayman Brac.
Around 11.20 pm on February 7, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report of a two-vehicle crash along South Side West Road.
It appeared that both vehicles were traveling in the opposite direction on South Side West Road when one of the vehicles swerved into the lane of the other, causing a head on collision.
Two people complained of injuries as a result of the collision and one was taken to hospital and treated for what appears to be minor injuries. Another person travelled privately to the hospital and was also treated for what appears to be minor injuries.
The driver of the offending vehicle was warned for intended prosecution on suspicion of careless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
The matter is currently being investigated by Cayman Brac Police Station.
