This week's Face of Cayman is singer, musician and entertainer, Isadora Ferrao.

Isadora has made a significant contribution to the Cayman music scene as the lead singer of beloved local band, Bonafide, with whom she performs both originals and covers at live events and at venues such as the Ritz Carlton and Kaibo. For younger audiences, she is the well-loved Miss Izzy, a singer/ songwriter who entertains children for birthday parties, special events and family fun days.

Isadora is not only an exceptionally talented musician, but she is an innovative and resilient entertainer. Since COVID-19, Miss Izzy has been hosting kids sing-alongs from Monday to Friday at 11 am. She holds the event on Facebook Live via Zoom, so that her audience can hear the children sing while not seeing their faces. She has also launched her Miss Izzy singalong youTube channel.

Isadora has also been performing gospel music on Facebook to provide a sense of upliftment to those who are most affected by COVID. She is currently working on a gospel album, which she has found more time to do during the pandemic.

"I am a community person and love people," she says. "I love that I have a gift that I can bless people with. I love that I am able to play the piano and the ukelele and the guitar and that I can use these mediums to spread joy."

Isadora is an avid pianist and has been performing publicly since she was 7 years old. A true entertainer, she loves to dress the part to suit the genre of music and the event and create an ambience. She has been living in Cayman for the past seventeen years but began her career in Zimbabwe and England.

Isadora says that she feels a great sense of privilege to be Caymanian.

"Apart from the beautiful scenery, I just love the pace of island life. I also love the people from so many different backgrounds. I love the intimacy and how you can impact people and the opportunity to really know people as you can here. I really love being an ambassador for the Cayman Islands. I love to perform on the beach and getting people to enjoy island-style music and have fun."
