Four arrested for cocaine offences following West Bay property search

Two men and two women have been arrested for cocaine offences following the search of a property in West Bay.

Shortly after 4:30pm on Friday afternoon (July 19), officers conducted a search under the Misuse of Drugs Law at an address off Town Hall Road, in response to community concerns about the selling of drugs at the location.

Persons there were searched and one was found with drug paraphernalia. A vehicle at the location belonging to one of the persons was also searched, and a small quantity of suspected cocaine was recovered.

Four people - two women aged 58 and 64, and two men aged 41 and 48 - all of West Bay, were subsequently arrested.

The 41-year-old was arrested on suspicion of consumption of a controlled drug, possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The others were arrested on suspicion of consumption of a controlled drug and being concerned in the possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

They have been bailed as investigations continue.
