Ganja scent leads officers to cocaine find during traffic stop
Police say that they found several packets of suspected cocaine in a vehicle during a traffic stop on Walkers Road on Monday.
According to reports from the police, officers stopped a Honda Fit at around 2:00 am on Monday morning and while speaking with the driver they detected the scent of ganja coming from the vehicle.
The officers conducted a search of the driver and the vehicle and recovered a container which contained several packets of suspected cocaine.
A 30-year-man of George Town was arrested on suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja, possession of cocaine with intent to supply, and consumption of cocaine.
The man remains in police custody as investigations continue.
