Headless body among two men found dead in Jamaica
Amid the imposition of a curfew in the community, the police are probing the murders of two men in Central Village, St Catherine.
The bodies of the two – including one found without its head – were discovered in separate incidents on Friday.
They have been identified as Dalton Gomes, 25, otherwise called ‘Truck Back’, of Central Village, and Bryan Mitchell, 30.
Reports are that shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Friday, a team of police officers responded to calls from residents who reported hearing gunshots in the area.
Members of the police team found the body of a man with gunshot wounds lying on an old refrigerator close to a shop in the community.
Later that day, shortly after 7:00 p.m., the police were again called to a crime scene after residents reported that a human head had been seen on a road that runs close to Mandela Highway.
A police team responded and a search was done, resulting in the discovery of the decapitated body of Mitchell being found in the Zambia section of the overall Central Village community.
In the midst of the ongoing curfew, intense police investigations are on into both deaths.
