Lenny Kravitz steps up to help The Bahamas
Lenny Kravitz has been the face and voice of The Bahamas' tourism campaign, designed to draw visitors to the country. Now, he is using his fame to encourage others to help those devastated by Hurricane Dorian.
Kravitz, who calls The Bahamas home and has a house on the island of Eleuthera, has been appealing to his fans to donate to different charities that he is also supporting.
He is also urging them to purchase a Love Bahamas T-'Shirt, the proceeds of which will go to his Let Love Rule Foundation.
Kravitz told CNN's Chris Cuomo that his foundation will be sending boats from Eleuthera with vital supplies such as food, water, generators and flashlights.
He also urged people to help by continuing to travel to the country since there are so many islands in the group of islands that make up The Bahamas that are unaffected.
"Tourism is what we depend on," he said.
