Loop's Five Fave Foster's Features

Yesterday we attended the opening of the 60,000 square foot store at Camana Bay and couldn’t be more excited! Aside from the size and expanded offering, there were elements that were totally unique to Cayman.

We struggled to whittle our fave features down to five, but here are the ones that made the cut!

5. The nut and chocolate scoop and weigh section

Instead of paying more than you need to for a container of almonds, the bulk-bins give you the freedom to decide how many almonds you want that day. It’s a great way to save money and not be wasteful. And the variety is impressive!

4. The diverse produce section

If you are an avid cook or just a lover of fresh fruit and vegetables, and you happen to be feeling sad, we have an unconventional antidepressant. Take a walk through the produce section at Fosters! We guarantee that among the unique, organic and diverse offerings, it will lift your spirits.

3. The Floral Department

The supermarket entrance, with wall-to-wall plants in the façade, is the first sign that plants are central to this store’s vision. Foster’s floral department is filled with colourful blooms of all varieties.

2. The health food section

Aside from the expanded vegan and vegetarian offerings, the new Fosters has an aisle totally dedicated to health and fitness foods. In our opinion, it is the most extensive offering on-island.

1. 1. The Food Court

Think of a café, a bakery, a pizza parlour, a sushi restaurant, a health food restaurant and just about every possible foodie pleasure you can think of, all rolled into one. And best of all, there is both indoor and outdoor seating so it doesn’t feel like a supermarket dining area at all, but rather another local casual dining option for the breakfast, lunch or dinner crowd!
