Man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving

Last night, April 4, just before midnight, a 33-year-old Cayman Brac man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The man, from Ivory Lane, has since been bailed and the investigation continues.
This arrest is following an incident in the early hours of March 22 when a 55-year-old-man was found dead on the street of Watering Place Road, Cayman Brac.
The victim was Mitchell Marvin Ryan, of Cayman Brac.
Mr Ryan was found dead on Watering Place Road in a suspected hit-and-run just before 4am on March 22. Police and emergency services responded to a report of a man unresponsive in the street near the Esperanza Bar.
They rushed to the scene with a doctor, where the man was pronounced dead.
No vehicle was present at the scene.
