Man knocked off scooter by suspected drunk driver on West Bay road

A man was knocked off his scooter following a collision on West Bay Road near Canal Point Drive on Monday.
Reports from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) are that shortly before 12:00 am, they responded to collision scene involving a Honda CR-V and a Zongshen scooter.
The driver and passenger of the scooter received minor injuries and were taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the CR-V was breath tested with a result of 0.148% and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The driver, a woman, was also warned for prosecution.
She was granted bail.
The driver of the scooter was later warned for prosecution for using on a road a vehicle required to be licensed, using a motor vehicle without a certificate of road-worthiness, and driving without insurance.
