Matilda the musical takes place next week
St Ignatius Catholic School's take on, ‘Matilda', inspired by the story of Roald Dahl and the Tony Award-winning Musical, promises to be a highly entertaining show for the whole family.
Matilda tells the inspiring story of an intelligent and witty girl who dares to dream of a better life and discovers her own super powers along the way.
Matilda is unloved by her parents but finds friendship in her schoolteacher, Miss Honey. The school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children but Matilda enjoys using her powers to get the better of her!
The play will be performed from November 14-16 with shows at 7 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and there will be an additional 2 pm matinee on Saturday.
Tickets range from $5-$25 and are on sale at the school office from Monday to Friday. Phone 949-9250 for further details.
The show takes place in St Ignatius Loyola Hall at 599 Walkers Road, George Town.
