One traveller tests positive for COVID; 240 positive in Cayman to-date

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 334 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Wednesday, 28 October 2020.

One was positive. This brings the total number of positive cases in Cayman to date, to 240.

The individual is an asymptomatic traveller who returned a positive test result following routine screening. They will remain in isolation until considered recovered.

There are currently 18 active cases in Cayman. All of these are in isolation and one is in the hospital.

The total number of people in isolation, either at a government facility or in their homes as required by the Medical Officer of Health, is 708.

46,733 tests have been run in total.
