Plans to repatriate East End Crash victims underway​

Police on Thursday reported that arrangements are currently underway to repatriate the bodies of the victims involved in May 2’s  fatal collision in East End to their home countries.

 The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) noted that as of May 17 all of the post-mortems of the deceased had been completed.

 RCIPS further revealed that arrangements were underway with victim’s relatives for the repatriation of the deceased to their home countries.

 The investigation into the incident will conclude with the receipt of expert reports in coming weeks and the file will then be passed to the Office of the DPP for ruling.

 RCIPS also used the opportunity to extend its condolences to the relatives of the deceased in this tragic incident.

The deceased in the accident were identified as three UK nationals;  72-year-old Ian Geoffrey Mansell, 74-year-old Pamela Yvonne Mansell, and 69-year-old Marlene Elizabeth Wright and Jamaican national 22-year-old Shannay Delaphena. ​
