Police hunting armed man after Bodden Town robbery

Police are hunting a robber who threatened a woman with a gun and made off with her handbag.

Shortly after 11pm on July 14, officers responded to a report of a robbery at an address off Anton Bodden Drive in Bodden Town.

A woman had just left her place of business and had driven home with a quantity of cash. Before getting out of her car, she was approached by a lone male who brandished a handgun and demanded cash.

The robber made off with a handbag and escaped the scene in a car.

The woman, described as being of dark complexion, was shaken but uninjured.

The matter is currently under police investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Bodden Town CID at 947-2220.
