Police say senior member of government has assaulted a woman

A senior member of government has reportedly assaulted a woman at a liquor license establishment in West Bay, according to the police.

Just after 12.30AM today, Saturday February 22, police received a report of an incident that took place at a liquor license establishment on West Bay Road. 

It was reported that a senior member of the government, had assaulted a female at the location resulting in her receiving minor injuries. 

The matter is currently being investigated by a Superintendent of RCIPS and anyone with information about this matter is encouraged to contact the George Town Police Station at 949-4222 and ask to speak with the inspector in charge.
