74% of Caymanians turned out to vote as polls close

The Elections Office of the Cayman Islands is reporting that up 74% of the eligible Caymanian voting population turned out to cast their ballots in the 2017 General Elections

Officials from polling stations across the country, began shutdown operations at 6 p.m. sharp, as the Elections Office begins its preliminary counts to determine which candidates have been chosen to represent in the legislative assembly.

Cayman Brac & Little Cayman

Cayman and Little Cayman – at the latest interval, recorded 409 voters, or 84%

Cayman Brac East – 407/70%


West Bay

West Bay North –  808/72%

West Bay Central – 781/73%

West Bay South – 1,000/ 75.2%

 

George Town

George Town North – 799/69.2%

George Town South – 931/77%

George Town East –  905/71.4%

George Town Central –  967/76%

George Town West – 967/76%
