Post-mortem finds cocaine pellets in Prospect man's stomach

Police have launched an investigation into the sudden death of a 44-year-old Prospect man.

In a release Tuesday, police said that a post-mortem completed revealed that the man had ingested a large number of pellets containing what is believed to be cocaine, some of which were discovered to have ruptured.

Further tests are pending before the official cause of death will be determined. The controlled drugs recovered have an estimated street value of $25,000 KYD.

The deceased had recently returned to Cayman from Honduras

The matter is currently under investigation by the Coroner’s office.
