Robbery on Lime Tree Bay Avenue

There has been a robbery at Tortuga Liquor Store in Governor's Square.

Shortly after 9PM February 7, officers responded to a report of a robbery at Tortuga Liquor in Governor’s Square, Lime Tree Bay Avenue. Two males entered the store, brandishing knives, and demanded cash from an employee there.

One of the men assaulted the employee and both males then made off on foot with a quantity of cash, one of them fleeing towards the rear of Cost-U-Less. Emergency services attended the scene and the employee was transported to the hospital for treatment, and later discharged.

The suspects are described as being dressed in all black clothing, long pants, long-sleeved shirts and gloves, with their faces covered.

The matter is currently under investigation and anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time or who may have any other information is asked to contact the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
