The principal of a Jamaican school was taken into custody on Monday on suspicion of indecent assault involving a male teenager.

The identity of the detained male educator is being withheld as he is yet to be charged.

It is not clear when the incident reportedly occurred, but the allegations are that the principal fondled the teen.

The child is said to have later informed his parents of the ‘incident’, and a report was made to the police on Monday.

Investigators from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) in the Jamaican  parish of St Ann are now questioning the educator.

More details are expected to emerge as Loop News tracks the development.
