Still no Rihanna album, but a documentary is coming!

Rihanna fans have been holding out hope for an album this year, but the chances are looking slimmer by the day.
However, the pop superstar has scored an incredible payday from Amazon, which landed worldwide rights to a Peter Berg-directed documentary about her.
Sources say Amazon paid $25 million for the untitled film's rights in a move that rivals last week's $25 million Apple TV+ deal for a Billie Eilish doc directed by and produced in collaboration with her label, Interscope Records.
Earlier this year, Rihanna's Savage x Fenty show was released as an Amazon Original, and she co-starred with Donald Glover in the Amazon Studios film Guava Island.
At current, the megastar seems unbothered by her fans' frustration and harping over the album, as she seems to be more focused on building an empire and making movies. In addition to the huge success with her Savage x Fenty lingerie line, the luxury Fenty fashion house, and Fenty Beauty, studio time is not at the top of Ri's to-do list.
But it seems she at least has a sense of humor about it: "We want the album sis," a fan commented on one of Rihanna's Instagram posts in April. "Well this is bronzer," she replied.
Barbadians are sure to support the new venture in spite of their longing for new music over a new movie.
