Update: Two arrested for stabbing incident


Further to the below incident, an 18-year-old-man of West Bay was charged with Possession of an Offensive Weapon, Common Assault and Causing Fear or Provocation of Violence. A second man, age 19 of George Town, was charged with Wounding with Intent and Possession of an Offensive Weapon.

Both men will be appearing in summary court today, Monday, March 16.

Two men, both age 19, have been arrested in relation to a stabbing incident that took place this morning and are currently in custody pending further investigation by the police. 

Just after 12.15AM this morning, Saturday March 14, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Center to an incident at the Strand Plaza, located on West Bay Road. 

It was reported that a man was stabbed at the location. The injured man was transported to the hospital where he was being treated for what is believed to be serious but non-life-threatening-injuries.
