Update: Police identify cyclist killed in West Bay crash

Early Wednesday morning, police identified the cyclist killed on Esterly Tibbetts highway as 56-year-old Geoffrey Cornwall.

Reports are that at around 7:30 am on September 11, a vehicle and a cyclist were traveling along the roadway in the lane leading into West Bay when they collided.

While the driver of the vehicle escaped uninjured, it was reported that Cornwall died shortly after due to injuries he sustained in the crash.

Cornwall was described as a resident on Island who was originally Australia.  

The police, in issuing details on the matter, used the opportunity to share condolences.
