Watch: UCCI launches an impressive sports programme

The University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) has unveiled its new school sports programme.

The university launched the programme on November 20 by debuting its offerings as well as some of the other holistic activities that are available on campus.

The launch consisted of several presentations including an address by President, Dr Stacy McAfee, who stated: "Sports are an important part of what makes a university a university."
Joel Francis, the Assistant Chief Officer for the subject areas of Youth and Sports in the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports, Agriculture and Lands also, also spoke.

This was then followed with a demonstration of some 15-minute games, including basketball, fencing, football and volleyball, to display the overall sports experience at UCCI.

The University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) is a tertiary educational institution in the Cayman Islands. The original Community College was established as a part-time institution in 1975, and was the first government-sponsored tertiary education in the Cayman Islands.
