West Bay man due in court over shooting incident

A 21-year-old West Bay man has been arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm, Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place, and Driving Without Being Qualified, in relation to an incident last month where a man sustained gunshot wounds.

He is appearing in court this morning, May 6.

Just after 1:20am on April 26, police and other emergency services were dispatched to an address off South Church Street where it was reported that a man had been shot.

When the police arrived at the scene, the victim was already being transported to the hospital by the Emergency Medical Services for treatment. The victim sustained two gunshot wounds.
