West Bay mom takes son to court over broken glass door Loop News Created : 13 November 2017 Cayman News A West Bay mother is set to proceed with a case against her son, who she says caused damage to her home. Crown Prosecutor Darlene Oko last Tuesday (November 7) confirmed that the mother was proceeding with the charges against her son and a date for a case management hearing was set for November 20. The court heard that the woman reported to the police that on September 18, 2017, her son arrived at her home in View Point Lane, West Bay, and had caused damage to her property. According to the woman’s report, her son broke a glass screen door in one of the bedrooms. The woman also reported that her son had caused actual bodily harm to her. Defense Attorney Grimwood stated that he had not yet had a copy of the recorded interview of the claimants statement. Grimwood further noted he was unsure if the woman wanted to go ahead with the charge, as she had stated she would not attend Court.
