Woman arrested after man injured in bar fight
A 37-year-old woman was arrested after a man received a severe laceration to his arm in a fight in a bar in the early hours of Saturday.
Just after 1.20 am on Saturday (November 16), police and other emergency services were dispatched to Singh’s Roti Shop and Bar on Doctor Roy’s Drive, George Town, where it was reported that a fight was in progress and one man was injured as a result.
The injured party suffered a severe laceration to his arm and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. He remains in hospital and is now believed to be in a stable condition.
A 37-year-old-woman of George Town was arrested in relation to the incident and has since been bailed pending further investigation.
The matter is being investigated by the George Town CID and detectives are appealing to anyone who was present during the incident to come forward with information that may assist in the investigation.
