Woman arrested for George Town crime spree; theft, drugs and violence
A George Town woman has been arrested for multiple theft, violence and drug offenses that took place during the months of October and November.
The woman, age 34, has been formally charged in relation to a series of theft incidents in George Town.
She is facing charges of Theft (seven counts), Causing Fear or Provocation of Violence (two counts), Carrying an Offensive Weapon (two counts), Resisting Arrest, Assaulting Police, Disorderly Conduct, Common Assault, Possession and Consumption of a Controlled Drug, and Possession of Drug Utensils.
The charges stem from incidents at a business on Main Street on October 5; a business complex on North Church Street and a business on Cardinall Avenue on October 9; a business on Shedden Road on October 17; a business on Eastern Avenue on November 1; a service station on Walkers Road on November 3; and a restaurant on South Church Street on November 10.
She appeared in court today, November 20, in relation to several of the charges, and was remanded in custody to reappear on Tuesday, November 24, where she will answer to the remaining charges.
