Cayman: Expect rain and thunder today

The Cayman Islands National Weather Service says that a trough across the Western Caribbean is expected to produce scattered showers and thunder across the Cayman area for the next 24 hours. Radar images show scattered showers in and around the Cayman area which are moving towards the northwest.
 
The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida is issuing advisories on Hurricane Epsilon.
 
At 4 am Hurricane Epsilon was located about 195 miles east northeast of Bermuda and poses no threat to the Cayman Islands.
 
The forecast for today is cloudy skies with a 60 per cent chance of showers and some thunder. Showers may become locally heavy at times leading to possible flooding of low lying areas especially over the sister islands. Temperatures will rise to the upper 80’s °F. Winds will be south to southeast 10 to 15 knots with higher gusts. Seas will be slight with wave heights of 1 to 3 feet.

Showers may become locally heavy at times leading to possible flooding of low lying areas especially over the sister islands. Temperatures will fall to the mid 70’s °F. Winds will be south to southeast 10 to 15 knots with higher gusts. Seas will be slight with wave heights of 1 to 3 feet.
