Cayman's airports engaging in emergency response exercises

Cayman Brac's annual Airport Emergency Exercise took place on Friday, to test responses to an emergency scenario at the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport.

The table-top "incident" involved an aircraft with a technical emergency that evolved into a full-scale accident. The session included the CIAA as well as emergency first-responders.

HMCI officials observed the event, held in conjunction with the Brac's Emergency Operations Centre.

A similar emergency-planning scenario will take place at Grand Cayman's Owen Roberts International Airport on Monday.
