CMO Tweets: 2 more travellers test positive for COVID-19

Cayman's Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee has tweeted that there are two new positive COVID-19 tests in the Cayman Islands out of 773 results that were performed yesterday, October 17. 

The two positives are asymptomatic screens of travellers at the end of quarantine.

The 773 include those from the Red Bay Primary School incident at the end of their 14 days observation. 

This brings the total amount of positives in Cayman to 235.

There are currently 4 symptomatic cases, one of which is in the hospital, and 18 asymptomatic cases.

212 of Cayman's COVID-19 cases have fully recovered.

44,279 tests have been carried out to date.

The official results from government will be reported tomorrow and are likely to include additional tests that have been carried out since yesterday.
