The Department of Education Services has issued revised guidance for the reopening of government schools for the 2020/2021 academic year.
According to the guidance, the resumption of in-person classes has moved up to Monday, August 31 from the originally scheduled date of September 9 for some primary and high school students.
Under the revised guidance, the wearing of mask in class and physical distancing are no longer mandatory. However, physical contact is being “strongly discouraged”. The wearing of masks on school buses is still mandatory.
