Governor announces upcoming evacuation flights (May 14)
According to Governor Martyn Roper, there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes on evacuation flights. The following updates have been provided:
PHILIPINES & INDIA
The governor's office has been in touch with the British Embassy in Manila and British High Commission in Delhi. The governor expects to make an announcement on those flights for those nationals very soon.
There are two flights to Miami on Friday. These are full but customers can waitlist in case seats or flights become available. Caymanians wishing to return home must first register with the Gov's Office. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 345-244-3333. There are 80 people coming back to Cayman on one of those flights and they will go into mandatory quarantine.
The flight to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on 17 May has a limited amount of seats available. One-way tickets can be purchased online at http://caymanairways.com or by calling Cayman Airways 949-2311 or 1-800-422-9626 (toll free in the USA) between 9am and 6pm weekdays.
The flight to Canada departs on 22 May.

Those in Canada wanting to return to Cayman should call emergencytravel.gov.ky
Two British Airbridge flights have been arranged. More will be organised in the coming months if demand is there. If you need to leave the Islands please register with Emergency Travel helpline via the online tool www.exploregov.ky/travel. This will help gauge demand for future flights.
We have information from the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister that they are not willing or able to take back their nationals at the present time but they will keep it under review.
