Man hospitalised after assault on Shamrock Road

A man had to be hospitalised after being assaulted by another man at a service station on Shamrock Road Saturday morning.

 

According to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, the incident occurred shortly after 3.30 am on july 18 near Selkirk Drive.

 

Police reported that the victim was assaulted during an altercation with another man not known to him.

 

The victim was reportedly struck with an object and was left with lacerations to the neck and a dislocated shoulder. He was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital, where he remains hospitalised in stable condition.

 

The suspect fled the scene in a motor vehicle. He's described as being in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 7 inches in height, and was wearing a white shirt and jeans.
