Over 2000 active cases of COVID-19 in The Bahamas

The Bahamas Ministry of Health recorded 151 new cases of COVVID-19 on Thursday, pushing the total number of infections to 4,864.

Of the new cases, 115 were recorded in New Providence, two in the Berry Islands, one in Grand Bahama, one in Exuma.

Health officials said there are 32 cases with locations pending.

At present, there are 2084 active cases of COVID-19 in the territory, with 109 infected persons still hospitalised.

The death toll stands at 102, but the Health Ministry said in its October 8 dashboard that 13 deaths are still under investigation.
