Police service vehicle collides with civilian vehicle in West Bay

Members of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service and occupants of a private motor vehicle were lucky to escape injuries following a crash in West Bay on Monday, 31 August.

The crash occurred at about 11.15am.

According to the police, members from the Firearm Response Unit was travelling along West Bay Road. While in the vicinity of Marsh Road, they received an emergency call to attend a report at an establishment located at Governor’s Square.

During the course of their response, their vehicle collided with a private vehicle.

Neither the officers nor the occupants of the private vehicle reported injuries.

The matter is currently under investigation.
