Red Cross providing free mobile health checks for kids & adolescents

Beginning tomorrow, and starting in West Bay, the Red Cross Mobile Health and Wellness Unit for Children and Adolescents will embark on a 5 week journey across Grand Cayman, until it arrives at East End.

Each day, the unit will park in a different neighbourhood and provide the following checks for teens and adolescents:

Health screening: A doctor or nurse will provide a basic health screening to check on the child/ teen's physical health

Mental health check: A mental health professional will provide a mental health screening to check on the child/ teen's mental health in light of the COVID-19 crisis and lockdown measures.

The service is accessible by any school aged child, ages 4-17 who resides in the Cayman Islands. Additional support services will be provided as a follow up after the check.

The schedule for the rest of the month is as follows:

Tuesday, July 28: Grace Christian Academy, Crescent Close

Wednesday, July 29: Ministry of Peace Church, Town Hall Road & Reverend Blackman Drive

Thursday July 30: Presbytarian Church of Boatswain Bay, Florence Lane

Friday July 31: Assembly of God High Praise Tabernacle, Finch Drive

Saturday August 1: Pastor Haylock's Lot, Birch Tree Hill & Bankers Road

Appointments are available from 4 pm to 8 pm, Tuesdays to Saturdays.
